Company DescriptionOur client is a global food manufacturer who is seeking a Director of QA for multiple food manufacturing sites in USA, Canada and Latin America. The Quality Assurance Director is responsible for improving the reliability and the quality of our products by developing and updating the quality assurance system and responsible for the assurances of products manufactured meet the norms and specifications of customers ( large food manufacturing companies) and are at a higher lever of quality and reliability.
Job DescriptionReporting to the Director of Global Operations, you will Plan, manage, organize and control the different activities related to Quality Assurance and supports daily with problem resolutions. Manage the improvement and the updating of the ISO system - policies and procedures of the company meet the ISO norms. Coordinate the internal and external audit programs accordingly to the ISO system and follows through with the recommendations. Coordinate the internal audit programs according to the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), sanitation, HACCP, allergens, co-manufacturers, external warehouse and the external audit program while guiding the clients, the government and the independent auditors and follow up. Supply the required support to answer to the request of the clients on quality, allergens and/or answers to their surveys. Supervise, manage and support the quality control lab supervisors in personnel management and tests, measurements and controls on a chemistry and micro-biological point of view. Manage client complaints: reception, investigation, identifying the causes and the corrective actions, preparing the elements of answers for Customers or Sales team. Manage the sensory evaluation system (training and application) for all plants. Participates to and supplies the assistance required for the operation continued improvement projects. Update all the necessary data to present the performance indicators to all interested parties. Assume the responsibility for the Quality Assurance budget and participates to the managing committee.
Skill RequiredBachelor in Science and Food Technology or Food Science degree. 5 to 10 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance coupled with 3 to 5 years experience in managing a group of technical employees.
